graveside services for Leonard Buford Cook, 93, of Sulphur Springs will be held at Como Cemetery at
3 p.m. Sunday, June 1, with the Rev. Wayne Spanhanks officiating. Leonard Cook died Friday morning,
May 30, at Titus County Regional Medical Center in Mount Pleasant. He was born in Hopkins County on
March 6, 1915, the son of John Thomas and Falba Elisabeth Pruden Cook. He married Ina Laura Friddle
in Como on June 16, 1934. She preceded him in death in 2002. Mr. Cook was a retired tool pusher in
oil fields.
Survivors include two daughters, Kay Austell of Gilmer and Linda Glazener of Katy;
one sister, Pansy Anglin of Irving; seven grandchildren, Laura and Jay Powell, Keith and Debra Austell,
Jeff Austell, and Dr. Susan and Dennis Garwood; and four great-grandchildren, Michael David, Jenna
Austell, Haley Austell and Taylor Garwood. He was also preceded in death by four sisters. Arrangements
