About Wanda Kay Shempert:
VARDAMAN - Wanda Kay Shempert Ellis, 52, died Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2005, at her home. She was born June
25, 1953, in Camp Polk, La., to Calvin Shempert Sr. and Rosie Maye McGee Shempert. She was a homemaker
and a member of Jesus Is Lord Church in Vardaman. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Parker Memorial
Funeral Home Chapel in Vardaman with Bro. Johnny Davidson officiating. Burial will be in Jesus Is Lord
Cemetery in Vardaman.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Joe Ellis of Vardaman; her mother,
Rosie Faye Jackson, and stepfather, Kenny Jackson Sr., of Mantee; three stepchildren, Jennifer Frizzell
and Rebecca Stone, both of Calhoun City, and Dana Hamilton of Bruce; two sisters, Vanessa Faye Bivins
of Vernon, Texas, and Janice Langford of Nettleton; one stepsister, Sandy Helms of Maben; four brothers,
Clayton Shempert of Woodland, Chester Shempert of Spokane, Wash., and Cecil and Calvin Shempert of
Vardaman; one stepbrother, Kenny Jackson Jr. of Mathiston; six grandchildren, Roger Stone, Alan Stone,
Jessica Stone, Macey and Cary-Onna Frizzell, and Haylon Hamilton; her stepgrandmother, Lula Mae Jackson
of Mantee.
She was preceded in death by her father, Calvin Shempert, and a brother, Danny Joe
Shempert.
Pallbearers will be Craig Caulder, Carl Laster Jr., Thomas "T.C." Laster, Jason Laster,
Joe Shempert, Jessie Shempert and John King.
