at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Alvin Porter officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove
Methodist Cemetery in Thorsby. Born on April 27, 1916 to Terrance Eiland and Betty Eiland, he died Saturday,
Feb. 15, 2003 at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster. Survivors include sisters Fannie M. Cox
of Alabaster, Frances Downs of Canton, Md. and Myrtle Conner of Greenrock, IL.

Church on Friday, June 29, 2001, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Alvin Porter officiating. Burial followed at
Pates Chapel Baptist Cemetery in Jemison, with Martin Funeral Home Chapel officiating. Visitation will
be held at Martin Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, June 28, 2001, from 5-8 p.m. Eiland was born on
Sept. 25, 1911, in Chilton County, the daughter of the late Charles Hayes and the late Mamie Hayes.
She was a housewife. She died on June 27, 2001, at Chilton Medical Center in Clanton. Survivors include
her husband, Cecil Eiland, Thorsby; two daughters, Catherine Dawson, Jemison, and Geraldine Eiland,
Clanton; one sister, Marie Williams, Clanton; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 20 great-great-grandchildren.
