ROLAN, Jerome Kirby of Ingram. Age 90. Died 2/10/1987 (Tuesday) in Sid Peterson Memorial Hospital in Kerrville, Tx. Funeral services held 2/11 (Wed.) at 7 p.m. in Grimes Funeral Home, Kerrville. Graveside services held 2/12 (Thursday) in the Salty Cemetery near Thorndale with Leroy Cast officiating. He was BORN 9/19/1896, son of the late Andrew Jackson Rolan & Ellen Wallen Rolan. He was married to Viola Morgan on 1/2/1921 in the Millerton Community near Rockdale. Wife preceded him in death in 1971. He lived in Houston, Lexington, and after retirement in 1965, in Ingram. SURVIVORS: 3 daughters, Audrey Brune of Thorndale, Ethel Strauss of Ingram and Lola Harmon of Ingram; sister, Mrs. Bert Traffanstedt of Calistoga, Ca.; brother, Jim Rolan of Tomball, Tx.; 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. ROLAN, Mrs. Violet Beatrice (J. K.) of Ingram. Age 70. Died 12/1971 (Monday) (in paper 12/16/71) unexpectedly following a heart attack in a Kerrville hospital. Services held (Thursday) at the Thorndale Baptist Church. Burial in Salty Cemetery. Rev. Howard Buchanan officiated. Plummer-Fair Funeral Directors of Kerrville in charge of arrangements. She was BORN 11/22/1901 as Violet Beatrice Morgan in Milam County. Married J.K. Rolan on 1/2/1921. She had resided in Ingram for the past 6 years and was a member of the Church of Christ. Preceded in death by a son. SURVIVORS: Husband, J.K. Rolan; 3 daughters, Mrs. L.L. (Audrey) Brune of Thorndale, Mrs. Lawrence (Ethel) Strauss of Houston and Mrs. Lola Gage of Ingram; sister, Miss Annibel Morgan of Kerrville; 2 brothers, E.A.
