Jackson, Mrs. Violet McVoy Bownds of Lexington. Age 71. Died 9/1986 (Thursday) in Richards Memorial Hospital after a long illness. Services held (Sat) in the First Baptist Church in Lexington. Burial in Lexington Cemetery. Revs Reuel Cooper, Vernon Ports, and Orville Roberts officiated. She was born 10/10/1914 in Tanglewood, the daughter of Robert Bruce & Hattie Davis McVoy. Married Ross Bownds on 12/2/1937 and he preceded her in death in 1971. Married Hubert Jackson on 4/10/1972 in Thorndale. Mrs. Jackson was a retired secretary, having worked at Lexington High School for many years. Survivors: Husband, Hubert Jackson of Lexington; step-sons, Dwayne Jackson of Seguin and Lynn Krueger of Austin; 3 sons, Erwin of Hamilton, Eldon of Taylor and James of Conroe; sister, Mrs. Ida Krueger of Austin; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren. Grandsons were pallbearers: Charles Rader, Joe Hengst, Kenneth Krueger, Glenn Krueger, James Hengst, Jr., Dean Hengst, W.H. Sleeper, Tim Stephenson, Bill Dellaughter, Max Hengst and Pat
