Margaret Baillie

John married by 1342 [sic. 1432?] Margaret (died 1510), a famous beauty, daughter of Sir William Baillie of Lamington. [Burke's Peerage]

The death date of 1510, if correct, probably indicates a later birth datethan I have--although living to be a hundred is not impossible. Burke'sPeerage states they were married by 1342-an obvious misprint, but didthey mean 1442? or 1432? The incorrect marriage date makes me doubt the1510 death date. According to Burke's Peerage William Sinclair died in1460 at the age of 70 (a long life for the times); his only marriagecited is to Margaret and they had at least 5 sons and a daughter; howmany men live to be 70 and have their only wife (mother of a largefamily) live on for another 50 years? I think she might have died before1510 and been born before 1410 (maybe 1397} and have had Alexanderearlier (say 1415 or 1420). But I will leave the dates as is becausethey correspond to the published source.
