James Mundy
James was born 13 mar 1819 in Fayette Co., son of Larkin and Stacy (Stevens)
Mundy.
He married Amelia Chew (possibly the daughter of John and Amelia Chew) on
12 Nov 1847. In 1851 they purchased land from John Chew in Adams Twp, Hamilton
Co, Indiana. This farm is still in the family, and contains a small cemetery,
where James, his first wife Amelia, and most of their children are buried.
Their children were:
Stacy Jane, born 10Mar 1850 in Marion Co, Indiana. Married Job Johnson
on 25 Aug 1867. Died 9 Nov 1869, and is buried on her father's farm.
Polly, born 21 Dec 1851. Died 26 Apr 1892. Never married.
Amelia C., born 16 Nov 1853 in Hamilton Co, IN. Married John N. Smith
on 24 Jul 1869. Died 10 Aug 1932 and is buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Kirklin,
IN.

Mariah E. born 26 Jul 1857, died 3 Sep 1864.
Lucinda E. born 1 Aug 1858, died 14 Sep 1864.
Lydia K. born 24 Jul 1860, died 10 Sep 1864.
Sarah E. born 25 Jul 1862, died 6 Sep 1864.
James Lincoln born 23 Nov 1864. Became the owner of his father's farm,
containing the cemetery. Married Elvira Adeline Edwards on 11 Oct 1887. Died
on 13 Aug 1935, and is buried on the farm.
William L. born 6 May 1866, died 29 Aug 1885.
Amelia died on 8 Apr 1871. James remarried in 1872, to Mrs. Margaret M. Rayle.
They had a son, Nathan S. born in 1874.
