Note She was mentioned in her mother's will proved in May 1904; 'Betsey Newton' was to receive a tenth part of the residue of the estate, after specific bequeaths had been made.

On Tuesday afternoon, at the Star Inn, Collingham, Mr Taylor, coroner, held an inquest on the body of William (sic) Henry Elliff, 13 years of age, who was drowned in Collingham Mill dam the previous afternoon. A verdict of "Accidental death" was returned.

The war diary for the West Yorks Regiment for 3 May 1917 records an attack on the German lines at Gavrelle in France? Of a battalion of 547 officers and men, 12 officers were reported killed or missing and in the other ranks, there were 15 killed, 122 wounded and 262 missing.

Grave Reference: Bay 4
Location: The Arras Memorial is in the Faubourg-d'Amiens Cemetery, which is in the Boulevard du General de Gaulle in the western part of the town of Arras. The cemetery is near the Citadel, approximately 2 kilometres due west of the railway station.
The website also records his regiment as 15th Bn., West Yorkshire Regt. (Prince of Wales's Own). 
Note Charles' medal card for WW1 in the National Archives confirms his death on 3 May 1917 and regiment as the West Yorks Regiment. It records his rank as Pte and Rgmt No. 13981 (sic). He was awarded the Victory medal

She married an Alfred Edward Ianson. I can remember from being very young we used to go to Stockton to visit them. We used to call them Aunt Liza and Uncle Alf. They lived in Bowser street Stockton. They lived next door to their daughter who was called Phylis; they also had a son called Wilfred.
Phylis married a Clifford Smith, they had two sons Brian and David they still live in Stockton.
Brian became governor of Northalerton prison then governor of Shanklin prison on the Isle of white. He is now retired and lives not far along from the Horse and Jockey pub / roundabout at Stockton.

Note Elizabeth was appointed executrix of her brother Thomas' (M536) will. She was to receive the 'residue and remainder of of my lands, tenements and hereditaments whatsoever situate in the parish of Skirbeck ... commonly called Skirbeck Quarter, not hereinbefore specifically devised'; what this consisted of is unknown, although it was 'now in the respective tenure or occupation of John Clark and Lawrence Hill or their undertenants at the yearly rent of thirty pounds'; She also received 'a mooring post in Skirbeck Quarter .. now tennanted by ... at the yearly rent of two shillings per annum' and 'the rest residue and remainder of my goods chattels, plate, linen, china money and security for money and other effects of what nature kind or quality soever'. The will was made on 28 Nov 1786 and proved on 5 Jan 1789. 
Note Her gravestone in Scrivelsby Churchyard was seen in August 1988.
