Joseph Perkins Beach, son of founder of the New York Sun, in 1890 had found 2753 descendents of the 2 Beach brothers who came from Scotland in 1639. Little is known about the family until 1730 when one of the family moved from NY to Sussex Co., NJ. His son, James remained in NJ, while others moved away.
