Dearest Brother and Sister-in-law
Through our letter we great all of you most dearly and tell you that we have written 3 times already after we found out where you were living, but have received only one letter. Mother is still sick and her condition remains unchanged. I was wounded during the war, from an explosive device at the Italian war front, I received an opening in the head which had serious repercussions. Much had been tried by the doctors to heal me, but up till now, no improvement has been seen. I am also suffering from an ear illness, I have a strong noise in my ears from which I have already lost half my hearing.
Now mother asks very kindly as well as myself, although not for money since we know that it is not possibly for you. But before our death, to get your family which picture and answer. You promised in your first and last letter, which we received. This would be our most important wish, then we would like to die since life is only a most difficult burden. We sincerely ask you for your picture and answer.
We greet you with our hearts, all Gottlieb and mother, Barbara Zwulick. Ludwick Kaiser Also we wish you much happiness in the future and mother wants to personally writer her name.
Over here in Austria it is very difficult to live. There are up to two million unemployed, also was here a great revolution from July 15-16, 1927. There were hundreds and thousands of heavily wounded.
