The Bureau of Land Management shows that Elk Creek in currently under Lake Anna near the border between Hanover Co and Louisa Co. (We had concluded some time ago that this "John" was really James 2 and the name was a mistake or a nickname. This because of the area of the land and the date in which this takes place. (There are no John Nuckols' available at this time.)

The name of David Bell was not included in processioning lists after 1708. David Bell and George Bell appeared in the lists in January 1731. It is believed that they were two sons. They were living in the same precinct as Capt Winston. It would seem that it was the same family of Bell, and likely the son, , David, who owned land on the lower side of Beaver Dam Swamp in Hanover Co, adjacent to Robert Webb, William Clopton and �u�James Nuckolls�/u� in August 1725.
