Biography of Georgiana S. Traveller (c.1849-?)

Georgiana Traveller was born around 1849 according to the 1851 census, probably in Ottawa. Born late in her father's life, she is mentioned fondly in his will; he left her "my manuscripts, Commonplace Books, Scrap books and my other writings which I think will be highly valued and treasured up for my sake by my dear Georgeana."[1]

In 1871, at the time of the 1871 census[2], "Georgina," aged 22, was still living with her mother and was employed as an office clerk. She is no longer there in 1881, but might possibly be the widowed Georgina Fleming living with Reuben's good friend and executor, John Sweetman (sexton of Christ Church), together with a three-year-old child, Archibald J. Fleming, who is probably her son.[3] More research required!
