Elkhorn Tavern - our family legacy

----------------------------------------------------

The Elkhorn Tavern sits in the middle of the Pea Ridge National Park in Benton County, Arkansas. During the Civil War, it was occupied by Joseph and Polly Cox who were gg-grandparents of my wife Laura. Laura's Grandmother Izella Cox Pinkston was a granddaughter of Joseph Cox. As a child she visited the Tavern every year for her father's birthday (long before it was ever a National Park).

This is a collection of articles and photos concerning the Tavern that have been of interest to our family.
