Orville C (Bill) Pitts, 67, of 139 Huey street, died at 7:10 a.m. Saturday (March 11) at Bethesda Hospital where he had been a patient since Feb 8. He had been in failing health for the past two years. Born in Zanesville on Oct 9, 1899, he was a son of Elwood and Dora Penell Pitts. He was a retired machinst. Surviving are his widow, Margaret; a son, Damon of the home; four brothers, Harold of Chandlersville Route 1, Warren J. of 470 Moore avenue, Carol of Akron and Fred of Alden N.Y.; and a sister, Mrs. Howard Moore of 40 Beechrock drive South Zanesville. The body was taken to DeLong and Baker Funeral Home where friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday.
