ZANESVILLE - Clara Elizabeth "Liz" Gheen, 82, of Zanesville, passed
away at 2:40 a.m. Friday, Sept. 29, 2006, at Genesis Hospice Morrison
House. Born April 4, 1924, in Glenford, Clara was a member of the
Salvation Army, including the Home League and the League of Mercy.
Surviving are sons, Harry (Linda) Gheen of Zanesville, Larry (Kathy)
Gheen of Zanesville, Carl (Nancy) Gheen Sr. of Van Wert, Bill Gheen
of Zanesville, Donald (Hazel) Gheen of Zanesville, Tom (Sue) Gheen
of Zanesville, Mike (Jenny) Gheen of Zanesville, Wayne Gheen of
Zanesville, Chuck (Jackie) Gheen of Zanesville, Eddie (Jo Ann) Gheen
of Columbus and Raymond (Darlene) Gheen of Zanesville; daughters,
Alice Siders of Zanesville, Rosie Tanner of Columbus and Joyce Miller
of Zanesville; brothers, Raymond (Betty) Samson of Zanesville, Junior
(Edna) Samson of Zanesville and Bob (Joyce) Samson of Zanesville;
sisters, Katheryn Parrill of Zanesville; Waveline (Carl) Coleman of
Philo and Roxanne (Paul) Roush of Georgia; 69 grandchildren; 137
great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren and 12
great-great-great grandchildren. Clara was preceded in death by her
husband, Harry Gheen, who passed away on May 4, 1973; her parents,
Oscar and Rosiebell Buck Samson; three children; two grandchildren;
brothers, Gerald and Donald Samson; sisters, Clarrie Samson, who was
her twin sister, Imera Crabtree, Maxine Tahyi, Leona Carnes and Dixie
May. Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 2,
at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home, 56 South 5th St. and from
11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2006, at the Salvation Army,
515 Putnam Ave. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday,
Oct. 3, 2006, at the Salvation Army with Capt. Ralph Campbell
officiating. Graveside memorial services will be held at a later date.

Last rites for Doug R Eanes of the Sharon community will be held
tomorrow at 2 p.m. at Sharon Baptist Church. Burial will be in the
church cemetery. The retired sales representative for Onida Heating
Co. of New York died unexpectedly Saturday at his home. He had been
in declining health for a year. He was born in Pittsylvania County
April 27, 1908, a son of the late Alonza H. and Dora Atkinson Eanes.
He was a member of Motega Tribe of Red Men. Oddfellows No. 343 and
the Rebekahs. Surviving are his wife, Grace DeHart Eanes, three
sons, Vernon Eanes of Salisbury, N. C., Gordon Eanes of Atlanta, Ga.,
and Preston Eanes of Charlotte. N.C.; one sister, Mrs. Pearl Gore of
Whiteville, N.C., two brothers, James Stuart Eanes of Corpus Christi,
Tex., and Calvin Eanes of Rockingham, N.C.; and six grandchildren.
The body is at Swicegood Funeral Home, where the family will receive
friends today from 7:30 to 8 p.m. At other times the family will be
at the residence on the Stony Mill Rd.

LeRoy O. Waymire, loving brother, father, and grandfather passed
away on February 13, 2006. LeRoy was born in Denver, CO on May 30,
1929. He moved to New Mexico in his early 20s and was a long-time
resident of Albuquerque, NM. He is survived by his three daughters
and their families; Terry and Ray Boatman, and their daughter,
LaRheta, Pattie and Rick Sanchez, and their daughter, Nicole, and
Jayne and Mark Cravens and their sons, Kyle and Cody. LeRoy was the
eldest of eight children born to Frank and Elsie Waymire. He is
survived by his three sisters and four brothers: Mary Lubking, Carol
McGregor, and Linda, Richard, John, Bill, and David Waymire. He was
preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Elsie Waymire and his
nephew, Mark McGregor. A Memorial Service will be held at French
Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, on Saturday, February 18, 2006 at

Hunter Services
St. Marys, March 24 -- Funeral services for N. C. Hunter, 63, who died
at his home here Saturday were held at the residence Tuesday at 1:30
p.m. and at the Methodist Episcopal church at 2 p.m., with the Rev.
Arthur P. Cherrington officiating. The Masonic lodge had a part in
the service. Burial was in North Grove cemetery at Celina.
