SANSOM PARK -- Phillip D. Hicks, 59, a retired truck driver, died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2004, at a Fort Worth health care center. Funeral: 4:30 p.m. Saturday in Biggers Funeral Chapel. Family and friends are invited to gather at the family's home Sunday afternoon to share their memories. Mr. Hicks was a lifelong area resident. He loved auto racing and working on cars. He was a loving, kind man who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Survivors: Children, Leann Grissam of Granbury, David Hicks of Fort Worth and Daryl Clay of Granbury; mother, Rosie Harrist of Lake Worth; brother, Jimmy Harrist of Azle; sisters, Debbie Miller of Lake Worth, Paula Cooksey of Fort Worth and Donna Wilcox of Dallas; seven grandchildren; and best friend, Jim Garrett.
