PORTERVILLE - Graveside services for Clarence Baker Maynor, 88, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Exeter Cemetery. Mr. Maynor died Friday. He was a citrus rancher. Surviving are his wife, Violet; two daughters, Carolyn Raile of Porterville and Connie Haubbert of Oregon; a brother, Arlen of Morro Bay; a sister, Ruth Baily of Florida; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 1 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Myers Funeral Chapel.

Ruth Sarah Longley, 92, of Brady, Texas, died Friday, Dec. 12, 2003, at her residence. Ruth was born on July 16, 1911, in Claxton, Texas, to parents, Eli Howard and Mary Mamie Crump Howard. She married Edgar Charles Longley on May 7, 1929, in Brady. She was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; spouse; three brothers; one sister; son-in-law, Paul Bradshaw; and great-granddaughter, Melissa Fitzhugh Lopez. Survivors include a son, Charles Howard Longley and wife, Erlyne, of New Braunfels, Texas; daughter, Mary Elizabeth Bradshaw of Brady, Texas; grandchildren, Jeannie Lang and husband, Dan, of San Angelo, Texas, Charlie Bradshaw and wife, Tina, of Brady, Texas, Randy Longley, Tammy Longley and Michael Longley, all of League City, Texas, Lorri Dixon, Mark Cook and Amy Hodgson, all of New Braunfels, Texas, and Darren Cook of Virginia Beach, Va.; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church or a charity of choice.
