Rites Saturday for Mrs. Watts
Crooksville - Funeral services for Mrs. Alphretta Watts, 74, of Crooksville will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the First Methodist church here with Rev. Roy Ballard officiating. Burial will be in the Crooksville cemetery. Mrs. Watts, widow of Clarence Watts, died Wednesday at her home and the body has been taken to the Fred L. Cannon funeral home here where it will remain until 1:30 Saturday afternoon when it will be taken to the church to lie in state. She was born in Thorn township, Perry County, a daughter of Charles and Alice Baker Swickand was a member of the First Methodist church. Surviving are a son, James of Crooksville; two daughters, Mrs. Pearl Penrod of New Lexington and Mrs. Alice Scarret of Newark; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; a half-brother George Spangler of New Lexington and a half-sister, Mrs. Minnie Dunn of Sandusky.
