Mr. J. Ransom "Randy" Jennings, 88, died May 15, 2004 of lung disease
at Iowa Lutheran Hospital. Services will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday,
May 19 at Hamilton's Funeral Home, with burial in Avon Cemetery.
Ransom was born December 8, 1915 in Moulton, Iowa and lived in Des
Moines all of his life. He was a rubber worker at Armstrong Tire,
retiring in 1974 after 42 years of service. Ransom was a member of
Berean Assembly of God Church, Armstrong Tire Retirees Club, United
Steel Workers of America and East Gate Masonic Temple Lodge 630. He
loved fishing, hunting, woodworking and carpentry and enjoyed lawn
work and his rose garden. Ransom was preceded in death by his wife
of 66 years, Dora Jennings in 2001. He is survived by his three
daughters, Doris Johnson of Des Moines, Mary Livingston of Rogue
River, OR, and Sherry Clayton of Bakersfield, CA; two brothers,
Trenton Jennings and Ralph Jennings, both of Des Moines; nine
grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and ten great-
great-grandchildren. Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at
the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa.

Mrs. Myrtle M. Bacher, 73, of 1461 10th st., who worked at the
Greeley Laundry for 30 years, died Thursday morning at the Weld
County General Hospital. She was born March 31, 1889, at Arkansas
City, Kan. She was married to Ira Bacher Feb 9, 1908, in Oklahoma.
They came to Colorado in 1918 and the Greeley in 1918. Besides her
husband, survivors include two children, Floyd of Greeley and Mrs.
Elsie M. Waymire of Wenatchee, Wash.; a brother, Harvey Dwyer of
Wenatchee; and tree sistes, Mrs. Gladys Bowman of Webb City, Okla.,
Mrs. Tina Fields of Enid, Oklah., and Mrs. Rozetta Edwards of
Riverton, Wyo.; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. Macys
Mortuary is in charge of arrangements, which are incomplete.

Mrs. Sallie E. Crozier, 81, of North main street, Dresden, died at
2:45 p.m. Saturday (May 11) at Good Samaritan Hospital where she
had been a patient since April 19. She had been ill for a number
of years. She was born on August 13, 1886 near Dresden, a daughter
of Euphrates and Mary Watts Forker. Mrs. Crozier was a member of
the Dresden Nazarene Church. Surviving are her husband, L. V.
Crozier; two daughters, Mrs. Arthur (Erma) Masters of Centerburg,
and Mrs. Ted (Eva) Baigley of Inglewood, Calif.; three sons, Harold
Grant of El Sugundo, Calif., Charles Russell Grant of 129 South
Willow drive and Forest Grant of North Hollywood, Calif.; seven
grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren; two step-sons, Earl
Crozier of Columbus, and Paul Eugene Crozier of Dresden Route 2;
eight step-grandchildren, two step great grandchildren; several
neices and nephews. Seven brothers and a sister are deceased.
The body was taken to the Dresden Chapel of Baughman and Sons
Funeral Home where friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and
from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday. Services will be held at the
funeral home at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday with Rev. Royce Wilkerson
officiating. Burial will be in Dresden Cemetery.
