Crooksville, June 17 - Mrs. Georgia Watts Swingle, 50, died at 9 o'clock Saturday morning at her home at 214 West main street here following a lingering illness. Mrs. Swingle was a member of the Methodist church and was an employe of the Hull Pottery. She was also a member of local union 134. Surviving are a son, James Watts of Crooksville; a daughter, Mrs. Charles Cann of roseville; her mother, Mrs. Hattie Watts of the home; two sisters, Miss Etta Watts of the home and Mrs. Rolland Cooper Jr., of Jackson, Mich.; a brother Elmer D. Watts of Zanesville, and a granddaughter, Christy Jean Swingle of Crooksville. Funeral services will be held at 1 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Crooksville Methodist church. Rev. Otto Wortman will officiate and burial will be made in Crooksville cemetery. The body will be removed from the Cannon and Cannon funeral home to the family home Sunday morning.

Former President of Pottery at Crooksville Dies
CROOKSVILLE, May 24, Gerald F. Watts, 54, president for 13 years of the A. E. Hull Pottery herre and the Acme Pottery Co., its predecessor died at 4:15 this afternoon in the family home, 41 North Buckey street. He had been retired sing 1952 and in failing health some time. He was a son of C. W. Watts, one of the founders of the pottery industry here and spent his entire business career with the Acme and Hull potteries. He was a veteran of World War I; member of Peerless Lodge No. 591, F. & A M and the Toquest club of Crooksville. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. James Walker of Columbus, four sons, Gerald, Duane, and Donald Watts, all of the home and James Long of Seborn avenue, Zanesville; his mother, Mrs. Emma K Watts and a sister, Miss Hazel Watts, both of this community. The body is at the Cannon and Cannon funeral home here where friends may call after 3 p.m. Tuesday, and where services are to be held at 1 p.m. Thursday. C. P. Stotler will officiate and burial will be in the Crooksville cemetery.
