SEYMOUR - E.E. (Blackie) Hale, 69, of Seymour, a former Abilene
resident and owner of a well servicing company, was pronounced dead
of a heart attack about 1 p.m. Thursday on his farm in southeast
Baylor County by Justice of the Peace O R Garner. Authorities said
Hale had been servicing a lawn mower near his trailer home and was
found by his brothers, Whit and Ernest Hale, who had gone to check on
some equipment. No autopsy was ordered and there was no evidence of
foul play, authorities said. Services are pending at North's Funeral
Home in Abilene. Born Sept. 30, 1906, in Baylor County, he was
raised there. He married Lois Longley Sept. 24, 1930, in Seymour.
The couple moved to Abilene from Houston in 1950. In Abilene he
owned Hale Tool Co. and Hale's Well Servicing, both for periods of
years. He was in the oil business all his life. He retired in 1973
and his wife died May 15, 1974. He moved back to Seymour in January
1975. He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and was a
member of various oil organizations. Survivors include two
daughters, Mrs. Richard T. (Marlene) Missman of Big Spring and Mrs.
Samir (Sandra) Spahi of California; three brothers, whit and Ernest,
both of Seymour, and Miller of Graham; a sister, Mrs. Vern Herring of
Bonham; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

David Duane Reavis, 41, Great Bend, died Thursday, Aug. 18, in
Kansas City, Kansas from an apparent heart attack. He was born
on July 2, 1964, in Manhattan, the second son of Edwin and Rutha
(Van Meter) Reavis. Mr. Reavis was raised in Manhattan, and
attended Manhattan schools. He graduated from Gateway High School
in Aurora, Colo., in 1982. His family provided the following
obituary information: While growing up, David enjoyed playing
baseball, swimming and playing board games with family members. David
always enjoyed the freedom of traveling the open roads of our
great country, so made his passion into the job of long haul
truck driving for over 18 years. David is survived by his
companion Tammy Gamino, Great Bend; his sisters, Brenda Reavis,
Littleton Colo., and Linda Reavis, Ashland, Ky., and his brother,
Steven Reavis, Central Point, Ore. He was preceded in death by his
father in 1999 and by his mother in 2004. Funeral services will be
at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Chapel in
Manhattan, with Reverend Neil Engle officiating. Interment will
follow in the Westmoreland Cemetery. On-line condolences may be
left for the family at www.ymlfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers
the family suggest memorials be made to the American Heart
Association. Contributions may be left in the care of the
Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home, 1616 Poyntz Avenue, Manhattan

Ramon Navarro passed away August 9, 2003 at 4:30 p.m. at the Christie
Santa Rosa Hospital, two weeks after suffering a heart attack. He
was born May 1928 in the Monterry Mountains in Mexico where he grew
up & met his wife, Francis. Moving to San Antonio, Texas he became a
deputy sheriff. After retiring he became a security-guard. Ramon
always had a smile on his face and loved joking around. He liked
talking about the history of Mexico and Texas. A man well loved by
all who knew him. Viewing was August 11, 2003 at the Trevino
Funeral Home from 3-9 p.m. His funeral was on August 12, 2003 at
12:00 p.m. Burial was at Mission Cemetery in San Antonio.
