St. Marys -- Norval L. Suchland, 57, of 318 E. High, died at 1 p.m. Thursday in his home following a heart attack. Mr. Suchland was shop foreman at Luxury Blankets Inc., which he helped establish in 1946. Born May 9, 1905, in St. Marys, he was a son of Fred and Frances (Schetters) Suchland. Surviving are his wife, Katheryn; a son Craig, at home; his mother, Mrs. Frances Suchland of St. Marys; a brother, Paul of St. Marys. Mr. Suchland was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Rev. A. J. Prange will conduct services at 2 p.m. Saturday in Yoder and Long Funeral Home in St. Marys. Burial will be in Elmgrove Cemetery.

Notes by Maxine Barrow: She was crippled from birth and retarded. We lived next door to them in Romoland, CA. I remember so well playing dolls with her. When Great Grandma Clary died, she was put in an institution called "Spadra" and I believe she may have been transferred to "Patent". We visited her there a few times before her death.
