LOOGOOTEE, Ind. - Carrol D. Albaugh, 71, died at 5 p.m. Monday at his home. A retired farmer, he owned the Stone Ridge Manor Bed and Breakfast in Loogootee for six years. He was a field reporter for the Agriculture Stabilization and Conservation Service for 20 years. He was a member of Hindostan United Methodist Church, where he was a Sunday school superintendent. He was a member of National Farmers Organization and was a 4-H Club director for 12 years. He was a past Republican precinct committeeman. Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Hazel; three daughters, Stephanie Jones and Alice Albright, both of Shoals, and Pamela Mundy of Campbellsburg; three sons, Steven Albaugh of Plainfield and Tom and Nick Albaugh, both of Shoals; a brother, Howard Albaugh of Indianapolis; and 13 grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Titzer Funeral Home, with burial in Goodwill Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m today at the funeral home.
