ZANESVILLE -- Frances Eleanor Hunter Romine, 69, of South Zanesville,
died at 4:05 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2003. She is survived by her
husband, Sheldon Ivan Romine of the home a son, Larry J. Phillips of
San Diego, Calif. two daughters, Kriste (Ken) Kotten of Westerville
and Kelly (Ed) Lowe of Grove City five grandchildren, Ian Phillips,
Christopher Lowe, Stephanie Lowe, Taylor Lowe and Mackenzie Kotten a
brother, John (Bonnie) Hunter three sisters, Phyllis Grotegeer, Jean
Alexander and Beulah (Jay) Eastman and special friends, Tamara Harper
and Marlene Dolittle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded
in death by a sister, Juanita Newton. Services will be held at 10
a.m. today at Hillis & Hardwick Funeral Home, 935 Forest Ave. with
Father Leo L. Connolly officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olive

Mrs. Johnnie Essie Baker, 58, of Buffalo Gap, died at 9:30 p.m.
Thursday in Cox Memorial Hospital after an illness of one year.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at Elliott's Chapel of
Memories, Clarence Snodgrass, minister of 13th and Oak Sts. Church
of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Gap Cemetery. Born
Jan. 2, 1910, in Burkett, she married Obie Campbell Baker in Abilene
in 1937. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Johnny and Leo,
both of Buffalo Gap; one daughter, Mrs. Willie New of 1617 Oak;
mother, Mrs. E. W. Linscott of 418 Sycamore; two brothers, Dewey
Moore of Snyder and J. H. Moore of Tuscola; 8 grandchildren and one
great-grandchild. The family will be staying at 1617 Oak.
