Roscoe Woman is Summoned Early Today
Mrs. Frank Crossley, aged 69, died at her home in Roscoe Wednesday morning at 12:15 o'clock following a lingering illness. Kate Savage was born in Morgan Co., on October 12, 1862, and on January 2, 1881, she was united in marriage to Frank Crossely at Zanesville. Besides the husband there are eight children surviving, as follows: Wilbert, John and Adam, all the late home; George and Robert, both of Roscoe; Mrs. George Miller and Mrs Thomas Jones, both of Coshocton, and Mrs. John W. Bryant of Roscoe. One son died in infancy. Two brothers, George Savage of Burlingame, Kansas and John Savage of Wills Creek, and three sisters, Mrs. Ann McClintock of Frazeysburg, Addie Savage and Mrs. Caroline Church, both of Zanesville, also survive. Mrs. Crossley was a member of the Salvation Army for the last 17 years. Funeral services will be conducted Friday afernoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Salvation Army citadel by Ensign J. J. Kirkman assisted by Ensign Walter Jeffries.

Mrs. Alma L Lighthizer, 68, of 969 Magnolia street, died at 10 o'clock last night at her home after a lingering illness. Mrs. Lighthizer was born June 19, 1888, in Morgan county, the daughter of Samuel and Minnie Gheen Swingle. She came to Zanesville in 1917 with her husband, Judson, who survives. Other survivors are Samuel E. Lighthizer of Route 5; three daughters, Mrs. Thomas McGrath of 728 Price street, Mrs. Delbert Hague of Hall avenue and Mrs. Merle Pickenpaugh of 736 Monroe street; a brother, Robert Lee Mell of the Chandlersville road; three sisters, Mrs. Lottie Callendine of Stockport, Mrs. Bessie McElheney of Rokeby Lock and Mrs. Katie Kester of McConnelsville; 14 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren. The body was removed to the DeLong and Baker funeral home where friends may call after 7 o'clock this evening.
