Stamford, Dec. 22 - Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Longley, 52, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Kinney Funeral Home in Stamford. The Rev. Charles Fike, pastor of the St. John's Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will follow in the Highland Cemetery. Mrs. Longley, mother of J. W. (Bill) Longley, member of the Stamford City Council, died Thursday afternoon of a heart attack at Big Spring. Mrs. Longley was born in Meridian, Miss., June 22, 1898. She and her family came to Stamford 18 years ago from Ranger, Mr. Longley died Nov. 5, 1944. She is survived by her son, and two sisters.

Mrs. Margaret Longley, 52, Stamford, had been ill for quite some time. Her son, J. W. Longley, Stamford, decided to bring her to a hospital here for treatment. Thursday at 8:30 p.m., almost within sight of the city, Mrs. Longley suffered a heart attack. Her son speeded the car and rushed her to the hospital. It was too late, Mrs. Longley was dead. The remains were taken overland Friday morning in a McDaniel Boulliqun coach to Stamford. There services will be held, probably Saturday, from the First Methodist church. Burial will be in the Highland cemetery at stamford beside the grave of her husband, J. H. Longley, who had been a prominent grocer since they moved to Stamford 18 years ago.
