Ex-Resident of City Dies Suddenly
Russell Leslie Fairall, 56, of 469 west 185th street, Euclid, O., who
formerly operated a repair garage on McIntire avenuew, died suddenly
at 12:10 p.m. Saturday in Good Samaritan Hospital, three hours after
being admitted. He had come to Zanesville Friday to visit a daughter,
Mrs. Donald Mercer of 1224 East Elm street and complaining of being
ill Saturday morning called upon a doctor who advised him to go to
the hospital. He had been suffering of a heart ailment. Mr. Fairall
was born in this city, Sept. 11, 1903, a son of Otto Bert and Maude
Wolfe Fairall and had moved seven years ago to Euclid wher he was an
employe of the Turks Auto Service. He was a member of the Eagles
Lodge of Cleveland. Surviving are his wido, Ruth of the home; two
daughters, Mrs. Mercer and Mrs. Frank Havens of Hopewell Route 1; his
mother, Mrs. Maude Fairall of 526 McIntire avenue; seven
grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Claude Wallwork of North Linden
avenue and Mrs. Theodore Lane of South Zanesville Rout 1; two
brothers, Harold of Canton and and Ellwood of McIntire avenue, and
several nieces and nephews. A son, Russell, Jr., was killed in
action during World War II. The body was taken to the Hillis Funeral
Home where Eagle ritualistic services are to be held at 8 p.m. Monday.
Rev. H M Carpenter, pastor of Central Trinity Methodist Church will
conduct funeral services there at 2 p.m. Tuesday and interment will
follow in Memorial Park.

Everita Virginia Martin, 84, passed away September 10, 2003, at
Timpanogos Hospital in Orem, Utah. Everita was born on December
17, 1918, in Paris, Texas, the daughter of Everett and Calla Utt
Talbert. Everita was raised in Pratt, Kansas and later moved to
Winslow, Arizona, where she graduated from high school. She married
Sharman "A" Jensen on July 6, 1937. To this union was born three
sons - Dale, Fred and Carl. In her early years, she enjoyed singing,
outdoor activities and sports. After moving back to Pratt, Everita
worked at International Harvester Company. Her second marriage was
to Merle George Martin of Pratt, on December 4, 1954. They farmed
eight miles southeast of Pratt in the Glendale Community. Everita
was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, the Glendale EHU and the Stitch
and Chatter Quilting Club. She was an avid knitter and quilter.
