PITTSBURG, Kan. - John W. Tisdale, a retired auto shop foreman, died Saturday in Pittsburg. He was 72. Graveside service will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in Shannon Rose Hill Memorial Park in Fort Worth. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Mount Olivet Funeral Home. Mr. Tisdale was born in Spartanburg, S.C. He worked for Ernest Allen Chevrolet for 16 years and for Vandergriff Chevrolet in Arlington for 17 years. Survivors: Wife, Wilma Tisdale of Pittsburg; son, John W. Tisdale Jr. of Fort Worth; stepson, Charles Harrell of Tyler; two stepdaughters, Glenda Kay Best and Judy Ann Bicknell, both of Pittsburg; brother, Fred Tisdale of Spartanburg, S.C.; three grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren.

In loving memory of Ira Eu"Gene" Watt Jr., born 11-20-1935. He left us this day 2-15-2001 to be with our Lord in Heaven. He's survived by his former wife and close friend Margaret McFarland of Nicoma Park; only son Richard Watt Sr. of Harrah, 3 daughters Carolyn Estep of McLoud, Mary White of Midwest City, and Diana Kear of Harrah, his mother Audrey Sasser of Ft. Smith, Ark., step-mom Leonna Watt of OKC, sister Pat Anderson of Ft. Smith, Ark., and brother Terry Sasser Sr. of Seattle, Wash., 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and family members. He lived in M.W.C, 39 years and made many friends. He served in the military and was a member of several post branches. He retired as a long term truckdriver. He was a hard working very caring self-made man who has left a special place in everyone's heart he has touched. "We will miss you, love you and remember you always, Daddy. May God be blessed upon you for eternal rest. We Love You Daddy!" Funeral Services will be Monday, February 19, 2001, at 2:00 p.m. at the Capitol Hill Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Resthaven Memory Gardens.

Linden Ave Woman Dies In Hospital Mrs. Hazel Garret, 61, of 1328 Linden avenue, who spent all of her life in this community died at 5:05 Thursday morning in Good Samaritan hospital. She was born Nov. 28 1895, a daughter of Alonzo and Elizabet Atkinson Beatty. Besides her husband Theodore, she is survived by a son, William T., of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Charles Evick of 411 Sheridan street; two grandchildren, Theodore and Lynn Evick; two sisters, Mrs. William Hittle of Dresden and Mrs. Ollie Stotts of Coshocton. Friends are being received at the Forest avenue chapel of the Bolin-Bryan funeral home where services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday. Rev. Herbert W. Veler, pastor of the St. Johns Lutheran church will officiate and burial will be in Memorial Park.
