Georgia Roumeliote Mattingly, 87, on December 14, 2006 at Whetstone
Care Center. Georgia was born on March 12, 1919 in Crawfordsville,
Ind. to Christina and John Roumeliote. A graduate of Columbus Central
High School, Georgia was a vivacious, musically gifted woman who
performed in local operettas and proudly sang and directed her church
choir. While living in Zanesville with her husband, Bernard, she was
active in the Charity Circle of Good Samaritan Hospital and enjoyed a
reputation as a stellar Bridge and Scrabble player. Always possessed
with a cheerful outlook and sunny smile, Georgia was the
daughter/sister/aunt who epitomized the word "family". She was always
there for us. Georgia infused her enthusiasm to all who were around
her. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends. Predeceasing
Georgia are her parents, husband Bernard, sister Anna Pappas, brothers
Jim, Gus and Steve and nephew John N. Pappas. Among her survivors are
nieces, Helen Pappas Lias, Martha (Jerry) Williams, Susan (Phil)
Bowman; nephews, Dan (Peggy) McNeeley and Mike (Ruth) McNeeley;
great-nephew, Bill (Beth) Lias; and great-great-nephew and niece,
George Lias and Emily Lias. Friends may call at the O.R. WOODYARD CO.

Trisagion service will be held at 4 p.m. Funeral service will be held
at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral, Monday at 10 a.m. Presbyter Michael

Lloyd Langley, 76, Moline, died Monday, Feb. 7, 2005, in Moline.
Private family services were held on Wednesday at Cordova Township
Cemetery, Cordova. Memorials may be made to Arrowhead Ranch.
Esterdahl Mortuary Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family. Lloyd
was born Jan. 13, 1929, in Terre Haute, Ind., the son of William
and Sally Webb Langley. He married Joan Mannen July 23, 1949, in
Rock Island. He retired from American Air Filter after 36 years
of service. In his retirement years he enjoyed taking trips with
his friends and caring for his lawn and garden. In the past, Lloyd
was a Little League coach. He was also a Navy veteran. Survivors
include his wife of 55 years, Joan; sisters, Marjorie Buzard,
Moline, Juanita Hill, Moline, Jean Kinser, Bloomington, Ind.;
brothers, Floyd Langley, Moline, William Langley, Moline, Glen
Langley, Florida; caring and loving niece and nephew, Kenneth and
Patricia Corbin, Moline; Grandpa's special boys, Jordan, Austin and
Nicklaus Arp. Lloyd had a small circle of friends he loved and
treasured in his life, Kevin and Connie Arp, Butch and Donna Downs,
Danny Karr and Patricia Means. He was preceded in death by his
beloved son, Jeffrey Langley. Online condolences may be expressed

Mrs. John H. Snodgrass, pioneer Cedar Gap settler, died at 12:30
a.m. today at her home a short time after suffering a heart attack.
Funeral will be at the Cedar Gap Church of Christ at 3:30 p.m.
today, with Minister A. J. Wright of Abilene officiating. Hodge-Fry
Funeral home of Tuscola is in charge of arrangements. Survivors
include the husband and a son, C. C. Snodgrass of Cedar Gap, who
were at the bedside when death occurred.

Mrs. Vergie M. Omen, 83, of 812 West Muskingum avenue, died at 3:40
p.m. Monday at Frame Nursing Home where she had been a patient 15
months. Born March 19, 1888, at McConnelsville, Mrs. Omen was
daughter of Benjamin and Elizabeth Sheets Savage. She was a 40 year
resident of Zanesville and a member of Coburn United Methodist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Hary (Freda) Johnson of the home; a
granddaughter, Mrs. Virginia Fraser of Steubenville; three
grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Her husband, James,
and a son Clifford are deceased. Friends may call 7 to 9 p.m. today
and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Hillis Funeral Home.

Fred Thomas Gilley Jr., 14404 Roberts Mill Ct., Midlothian, Va., died
Tuesday, October 8, 2002. Gilley is survived by his wife, Doris
DeLauder Gilley; a daughter, Kathryn Marie; and a son, Frederick
Thomas III (Rick); his parents, Fred T. and Jean Hancock Gilley of
100 Sunset Dr., Stuart, Va.; two brothers, Jeffrey F. Gilley, Stuart,
and Helms Moran Gilley, wife, Karin and daughters, Jeanette Carrie,
Yvonne and Nicole, DeWitt, Mich.; his father- and mother-in-law,
Richard A. and Lilo DeLauder, Columbia, S.C.; two brothers-in-law,
Don M. Delauder, wife, Caprice and sons, Ian and Adam, Pittsburgh,
Pa. and Richard M. (Rich) DeLauder, wife, Tracie and twin sons, Cole
and Quinn, Richmond; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Born in
Halifax County, Va., November 9, 1955, Gilley was a graduate of
Randolph-Macon Academy, Front Royal, Va., Lynchburg College,
Lynchburg, Va., with a major in political economy plus accounting
courses at Guilford College, Greensboro, N.C. He was a Certified
Public Accountant and a Certified Management Accountant. He was
employed for 17 years by Goldschmidt Chemical Corp., Hopewell, where
his last position was Finance & Administration vice president. At
the time of his death, Gilley was employed by Alloy Polymer in the
Richmond area. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday
from Moody Funeral Home chapel, at the intersection of U.S. 8, South,
and Blue Ridge St. in Stuart (Patrick County), Va. Interment will
follow at the Mountain View Cemetery, behind Mountain View United
Methodist Church, off U.S. 58 West on SR 764 or Mountain View Rd.
A memorial service is also scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday, October 14
at the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer, 2341 Winterfield Rd.,
Midlothian. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made
to the church or charity of one's choice, to Redeemer Endowment
Foundation or to the Humane Society of Virginia.
