Services for William Ray Sohrenssen, 16, of Crooksville Route 2, Rose Farm, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Fred L. Cannon and Sons Funeral Home in Crooksville, conducted by Rev. Arthur Long. Burial will be in Iliff Cemetery. Sohrenssen, a senior at Crooksville High School, died at 8:26 p.m. Saturday night at Good Samaritan Medical Center after collapsing during the Crooksville - New Lexington basketball game in CHS gymnasium. He was born Dec. 18, 1954, in Zanesville, the son of Raymond and Rose Savage Sohrenssen of Crooksville Route 2. He was a member of Rose Farm Christian Church. Active in school organizations he played trumpet in the school band and was a member of the dance band, National Honor Society, Science Club and Spanish Club of the school. Surviving are the parents and a sister, Mrs. Carolyn Pettit of near Roseville Route. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today.
