Funeral services for John Mattingly, 87, of near Ellis station, who died Saturday morning at Good Samaritan hospital from a fractured pelvis bone sustaned when he fell at his home, whill be held at 9:30 o'clock Tuesday morning at St. Mary's Catholic church in the Mattingly Settlement. Rev. Lawrence Riley of Dresden will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mr. Mattingly was a lifelong resident of Muskingum county and was a member of St. Mary's church. Surviving are four sons, Ernest of the home, Alva and Eugene Mattingly of Dresden, Route 1, and Leo Mattingly of 430 Van Horn street; three daughters, Mrs. Edward Himmelspach of Green street; Mrs. Edward Mansfield of Frazeysburg road, and Mrs. James Richardson of Englewood avenue; 12 grandchildren, four of whom are serving overseas, and five great-grandchildren. The body has been removed to the home of Leo Mattingly from the Lester Mattingly funeral home.
