Charleen Hunter, 79, of 123 N. Hickory St. in St. Marys died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2004, at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima. She was born May 17, 1924, in New Bremen to Charles and Clara (Kellermeyer) Fark. She married Robert E. Hunter on April 14, 1945 in New Bremen, and he survives. Mrs. Hunter is also survived by a daughter Nancy Koch of St. Marys; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and a sister Cleora Forweck of Celina. She was preceded in death by, her parents, a son Michael Hunter and two brothers Donald and Kenneth Fark. Mrs. Hunter was a graduate of New Bremen High School. She was a homemaker and retired from the former Lampert's Meat Market in St. Marys. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in St. Marys, and its women's guild and funeral luncheon committee. Mrs. Hunter was an elections poll worker and American Red Cross volunteer. During her life, she donated over 15 gallons of her own blood. Mrs. Hunter enjoyed fishing, playing cards, supporting the Cincinnati Reds baseball team, and above all, spending time with her grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road in St. Marys. Burial will follow at the Elm Grove Cemetery in St. Marys. Visitation hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
