Maudia B. Solomito Arney, 94, Fortville, passed away Thursday, July
12, 2007. She was born October 15, 1912 in Monroe Co., Indiana to
the late William and Carrie Shields Clark. Maudia graduated from
Smithville High School, Class of 1930. She married Savario Veto
Solomito November 1, 1930 and he preceded her in death July 27, 1937.
She then married Dasel E. Arney September 1, 1938 and he also
preceded her in death November 15, 1981. Maudia worked for Indiana
University as a custodian for 15 years and was a member of Calvary
Tabernacle in Indianapolis and Tampa, FL. Graveside services will be
held Monday, July 16, at 3:00 p.m. at Clear Creek Cemetery in
Bloomington, IN. Maudia is survived by her daughters, Colleen Craig
and Alberta L. Lashbrook; five grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren
and three great-great-grandchildren. Final care and arrangements
entrusted to Shirley Brothers Thompson Rd. Chapel.

Mother of J.H. Pinkston Dead
Seventy Four Years Old, She has Lived With Son 7 Years
Mrs N A Pinkston, died at the home of her son J. H. Pinkston 1006 East Dewey this
morning at 6 o'clock. Mrs Pinkston has been bedfast for the past thirty-five
days. She would have been 74 years of age August 9. She has made her home with
her son J. H. Pinkston of the Park Street Barber shop of this city for the past
seven years and has been a resident of Oklahoma for twenty-seven years. Mrs.
Pinkston has been a member of the Baptist church for forty five years and her
Christian life has meant much in the rearing of her children who survive her.
Mr. Pinkston, the husband of the deceased departed this life two years ago and
and the only immediate relatives are the following children: J. H. Pinkston of
this city, Jess Pinkston of Oklahoma City, Mrs. Annie Clary, Davis, Okla., Mrs.
W. M. Derbyshire of this city and Mrs. Mollie Nichols of Purcell, Okla. Funeral
services for Mrs. Pinkston will be held tomorrow morning at 10:00 o'clock at the
Lewis and Landrith chapel with Rev. J. E. Outlaw of the Second Baptist church
officiating. Burial will be made in the South Heights cemetery.
