COLUMBUS - Gerald "Jerry" Stanberry Watts, 80, passed from this life on Friday, Nov. 23, 2007. He was born Jan. 25, 1927, in Crooksville, to the late Gerald F. and Beatrice Stanberry Watts. Gerald was a veteran of World War II. He served as Branch Engineer at Fort Lee, Va., and also at Fort Belvoir, Headquarters War Department, Fort Myers, Va. He was a graduate of Ohio University and retired from the State of Ohio Department of Taxation as a Tax Commissioner's Agent in 1989. Gerald was an avid Amateur Radio Extra, call letters (N8REW). He loved playing golf, hunting and fishing, and being in his boat on Buckeye Lake on a sunny afternoon. He is survived by his devoted wife of 57 years, Milly; his adored daughter and her husband, Jeri and Jeffrey Little, of Reynoldsburg; his grandsons, who shared a special part of his heart, Jason (Shirley) Little, of Pataskala, Joshua (Nicole) Little, of Pickerington, and Jordan Christopher Little, of Reynoldsburg. He is also survived by his very special, one and only granddaughter, Jamie Leann Little, of Reynoldsburg, of whom he was so proud; and his one and only great-granddaughter, Taylor Nicole Little, who always made her great-grandpa smile. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Jacquilin; step-mother, Pearl Cannon Watts; his beloved grandparents, William and Emma K. Watts; and Aunt Hazel Watts, all of Crooksville. Calling hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26, 2007, at Schoedinger East Chapel, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., Columbus. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2007, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
