Hoxworth Lodena (Weirich) died March 31, aged 41 years and 2 months. She was an invalid and suffered terribly for several years. In the year of 65 or 66 she married one James Hoxworth (now of Tennessee), who swore to love and protect her, but he has proven himself a villain in all that the term implies. He took into his family one Mol. Hartman of questionable virtue as a servant girl. Soon it was rumored that Jimmy and Mo. were too intimate and the free use of the words tar and feathers caused Jimmy to choose a climate more congenial to his health. He, at once, took his family and went to Tennessee - not forgetting Mol., however - where he could carry out his hellish designs. He and his concubine Mol. at once made it a hell on earth for Mrs. Hoxworth and finally succeeded in driving her out. She returned to her mother's where she has been cared for until death. Were Jimmy to return he would receive the treat so long promised him. Democrat 4-7-1886
