Ethel Kohfield, a beautician and child care provider, died at Stonebrook Convalescent Hospital in Concord. She was 81. The native of Shamrock, Okla., lived in Saratoga before moving to Alamo eight years ago. The World War II Women's Army Corps veteran enjoyed drawing, music and movies. She is survived by her daughters, Elaine Welch of Alamo and Marlene Kohfield of San Jose; son, Dale Hollis of Agoura and Richard Hollis of Browns Valley; brother, Robert Longley of McCloud, Okla., and Leonard Longley of Oklahoma City; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Her husband, Robert Hollis, died in 1951 and husband, Paul, died in 1989. Services: Were held. Private burial at Los Gatos Memorial Park in San Jose. Memorial gifts: American Heart Association, Greeting and Memorial Card Service, 1710 Gilbreth Road, Burlingame, CA 94010; or American Diabetes Association, 1900 Powell St., Suite 285, Emeryville, CA 94608.
