Floyd and Mildred (Louthan) Sleeper were married at Nashville, KS on July 1, 1931.
They moved to a farm near Isabel in the 1940's, and have lived near Isabel since. They moved into town in August of 1959. Floyd then drove a bus for Isabel, when Isabel closed he drove for USD 254, Medicine Lodge, making a total of 27 years. He had to quit in 1981 because of his health. He passed away in March of 1981. Mildred still lives in Isabel, across from the school. They had three children all graduating from Isabel High School. Their children are Darlene Kumberg, Rosalie Boulanger and Jack Sleeper.
Darlene married Bob Kumberg in 1951 and they have three children, Connie McCammond of Liberty, MO; Pat Samms, Wichita; Mark Kumberg; Pratt. They have four grandchildren.
Rosalie married Tom Boulanger in 1956 and they have three children, Cindy Harvell, Wichita; Karalie Russell, Wichita; Jon Boulanger of Wichita. Rosalie and Tom have 1 grandchild.
Jack is married to Barbara Swonger. He has 2 children: Jackie Dee of Anthony; Victor of Anthony. He has 2 grandchildren. Jack joined the army when he was 18 and stayed in until he retired in January of 1978.

Wichita Eagle, The (KS) - December 15, 2001 Sleeper, Mildred I., 90, homemaker, died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2001. Service 11 a.m. Saturday, Isabel Cemetery. Survivors: son, Jack of Anthony; daughters, Darlene Kumberg of Medicine Lodge, Rosalie Boulanger of Maize; sisters, Geneva Mattal, Laurene Dicke; seven grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren. Memorial established with Attica Annex.
