Notes:

Francis Edward Dimond, youngest child of J.W. and Nora Dimond, was born January 30, 1906 in Hawkeye Township, Osborne County, Kansas, south of Gaylord. He passed peacefully away in his sleep October 10, 1971, at the age of 65 years, eight months and 11 days at his home at 6027 S. Morril Avenue, Whittier, California. The family moved to California in 1939. He had been a long time employee with Dresser Industries. He was united in marriage to Isabel Watts in 1924. She passed away April 30, 1965. He has lived alone in his home near his daughter who kept in touch with him each day. Although in poor health, he was able to carry on with light work. To this union three children were born, Duane G., Dallas, Texas; Wilma I. Tolliver, Whittier, California'and Dale E., Whittier, California. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, a sister Gertrude and a brother Robert. He leaves to mourn his passing the three children, two daughters-in-law; and one son-in-law; five grand children, a sister, Edith Howell of Whittier, and two brothers, Roy and Wid of Osborne. Funeral services were held in Hillside Church on October 12, at 1:00 p.m. with Dr. Donald E. Reiter officiating. He was laid to rest beside his wife in Rose Hills Memorial park in Whittier, California.
