Mault Walter P, 73, was born in Noble County to John and Martha
(Beck) Mault and married Freda Teders May 7, 1938 in Avilla. He
was a farmer and carpenter and member of St. Patrick's Catholic
Church in Ligonier. He died Thursday in Parkview Hospital.
Survivors include his wife; six sons, Richard, Kendallville,
Wayne and John, Wolcottville, James, Wawaka, and Robert and Max
at home; two daughters, Mrs. Steven Delucenay, Elkhart, and Mrs.
Tim Messner, Shipshewana; one brother, Clarence, Fort Wayne; and
six grandchildren. Services were Monday in St. Patrick's Church.
Msgr. Arthur MacDonald officiated. Burial, St. Mary's Cemetery.

FREDA CECELIA MAULT
84, of rural Ligonier died yesterday in Sacred Heart Home, Avilla.
The Noble County native was the widow of Walter, who died in 1974,
and a former cook at Elkhart Township School. Surviving are
daughters, Margaret Ann Delucenay of Middlebury and Eilene Messer
of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; sons, Jim of Wawaka, John of Wolcottville,
Bob of Topeka and Max of Goshen; stepsons, Dick of Florida and
Wayne of Wolcottville; sister, Laura Knach of Avilla;
14 grandchildren; and a great- grandchild.
Services are 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Gaspar Catholic Church,
Rome City, with burial in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Avilla.
Calling is 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow in Ulrey-Renner
Funeral Home, Ligonier, with a vigil at 8 p.m.

in law enforcement. Born in Cleveland, he moved to Lady Lake in 1984.
He was a Protestant. An Army veteran of World War II, he was a life
member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10126, Lady Lake, and the
Disabled American Veterans of Orange Blossom Gardens. Survivors:

Mrs. Cora Sheppard, 85, Coshocton, died at 2 a.m. today at the home
of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. James Craigo, 1316 Fairy
Falls dr., after a four week illness. She was born Oct 16, 1872, at
Philo, a daughter of Robert and Mary Ellen Sullivan Longley, and was
married in 1888 to Len Sheppard who died May 15, 1949. She was a
lifelong member of Grace Methodist church. The survivors are two
daughters, Mrs. Craigo and Mrs. William Gamble, Washington, D.C.; one
son, Earl Sheppard, Coshocton; three brothers, Charles E. Longley,
Springfield, O., Carlos E. Longley, Philo, and Clarence E. Longley,
Crooksville; 10 grandchildren and 12 greatgrandchildren. One
daughter, one son and one sister are deceased. Services will be
conducted at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Dawson funeral home in charge
of Dr. G. Glen Hughes and burial will be in South Lawn cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
p.m. and Thursday until time for services.
