Walter Swingle of 525 South street died at _ p.m. Wednesday at Bethesda Hospital where he had been admitted earlier in the day. He had been in failing health for four years. He was born in Brush Creek Township Oct 7 1895, the son of Elmer and Emma Baughman Swingle. He lived for 50 years and was an automobile mechanic for 35 years until he retired four years ago. Surviving are his stepmother, Ida May Single who lives at the ? Helen Rest ? one sister, Mrs Edith Showers of 802 Federal avenue, three nieces and four nephews. The body was taken to the DeLong and Baker Funeral Home where friends may call after 7 p.m. today. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.

Chesterhill - Mrs. Louise Calendine, 46, of Stockport, died at 11:25 p.m. Sunday (May 2) at her home after a year's illness. She was president of the Past Matrons of Webb Chapter 337 OES and a member of Stockport Methodist Church, East Windsor Grange and the CCL. Mrs. Calendine was born Aug. 11, 1918 at Beverly, daughter of Earl and Myrtle Young White. On May 25, 1933, she married Ralph L. Calendine, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Galen (Ann) White of Stockport Route 2 and Mrs. Don (Pat) McConnel of 509 Commissioner street, Zanesville; a son, Larry of the home; a brother, James L. of New Matamoras; and six grandchildren. Friends may call at Fawcett-Stone Funeral Home here 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today. OES rites will be held at 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Stockport Methodist Church with Rev. Wesley Thatcher officiating. Burial will be in Stockport Cemetery.

Robin Royce Starrett, 50, died Jan. 5, 2008, as a result of a tragic plane crash near the Kodiak Airport. He was born Jan. 10, 1957, in Pratt. He attended Pratt Community College, and earned an AA in 1977, he then attended Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, and attained a Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Sciences. A resident of Kodiak, Alaska, formerly of Pratt and Iuka, he served in the U.S. Army until 1985, and served in the U.S. Coast Guard, retiring 2004. He was currently employed with Servant Air of Kodiak, Alaska. He served in the U.S. Army ROTC. On May 26, 1979, he married Judy Kramer, in Pratt. She survives. Other survivors include: two sons, Doug and Randy; his mother, Jane Ann Starrett, Iuka; two sisters, Leigh Ann Hall, Iuka, and Michelle Phillips, Midland, Texas; six nephews, and six nieces; and his beloved dog, K2. He as preceded in death by his father, Robert, brothers, Raymond Lee and Randy. Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Natrona. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Robin Starrett Memorial Scholarship Fund, in care of Wells Fargo Bank, 202 Marine Way, Kodiak, Alaska, 99615.
