ALBERT J. GINGERICH, 66, of Apollo Beach died Tuesday at home under the care of Hospice of Hillsborough. A native of Independence, Iowa, he moved to the Tampa Bay area 27 years ago from Ligonier, Ind. He was owner and operator of the Ruskin Drive Inn for 22 years, member of Ruskin United Methodist Church and was the first elected governor of Ruskin Moose Lodge. He is survived by his wife, Linda; a son, Randy K. of Bloomington, Ind.; four daughters, Deborah Peterson of Syracuse, Ind., Dyanna Daily of Stevensville, Mich., Dawn Smith of Tampa and Denise Gingerich of Goshen, Ind.; three brothers, Noah and Ben, both of Topeka, Ind., and Joe of Shipshewana, Ind.; three sisters, Polly Miller of Millersburg, Ind., Edna Lambright of Topeka and Clara Slaughbaugh of Fort Worth, Texas; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Lewers Funeral Home, Ruskin.
