C S Watts, Perry County Auditor, dies
Crooksville - Clinton S Watts, 56, of Crooksville, Perry County auditor for the past 15 years, died of an apparent heart attack about 9:45 a.m. Friday (April 2) at his office in the Courthouse at New Lexington. He was born in Crooksville July 4, 1908, a son of Charles A and Mary Julia Boring Watts. Mr. Watts was a member of the Crooksville First Methodist Church and had been its treasurer for the past 15 years. He belonged to the Men's Brotherhood and was a past master of Peerless Lodge 591, F&AM. He served in the U.S.Navy in World War II. Surviving are his widow, Kathryn; a daughter, Mrs Phoebe Ann Raymond of Lancaster; a sister, Miss Helen Watts of Crooksville; a brother, Harold of Columbus; and one grandchild. The body is at Fred L Cannon and Sons Funeral Home at Crooksville where friends may call after 1 p.m. today. Masonic services will be held at the funeral home at 8 p.m, Sunday. Funeral Services will be held at Crooksville First Methodist Church at 2 p.m. Monday with Rev. Ralph Tucker officiating. Burial will be in Crooksville Cemetery.
