Notes:

Not sure if/how this Jacob ties in with the other SAVAGEs in the area. If he does, then he is likely the son of Joseph Savage and grandson of George and Massey Savage. I haven't found a direct link other than coincidence of timing and location. One thing that doesn't fit is the 1880 census lists his parents as born in Prussia Germany - that's not conclusive though.

another anomaly is that his son George has a obit that states "the oldest son of Mr and Mrs Jacob Savage"... "born Jun 16, 1850". However, Jacob didn't marry the widow Harriet Griggs until sometime after 13 Aug 1850 (census data). Also, George is not listed in the house with Harriet - George's mother must be someone else. - need to locate Jacob in 1850 - searched Watertown, Adams, Belpre twps - but no luck so far.

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Rardin have received word of the sudden death of their daughter, Mrs. Mae Savage, 62, which occurred Sunday at the family home in Detroit, Mich. She is survived by her husband, Frank Savage and six children; also her parents, one sister, Mrs. Ed. Adrian, and two brothers, Clint Rardin and L. V. Rardin. Her brothers left Monday for Detroit to attend the funeral.

EFFIE B. DUEWALL (MeMaw), 87, passed away October 22, 2004 after a lengthy illness. Preceded in death by parents, four sisters, one brother, five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Survived by sons Don and David Duewall, daughter Barbara Schomburg and husband Ted, eight grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. Her family was the most important thing in her life. She prayed daily for each of us. We will cherish her love and memory. MeMaw had her prayer answered, she went before her children.
