Pottery Man Dies After Long Illness.
Dwight Savage, 52, of Roseville died at 4:15 o'clock Wednesday morning at Good Samaritan hospital following a lingering illness of silicosis. He had been a patient at the hospital since Jan 18, 1958. Mr. Savage was an employe of the Nelson McCoy pottery at Roseville. He was a member of Roseville lodge, F. & A.M. and was a 32nd degree Mason, being a member of Scioto Consistory of Columbus. He was also a member of a number of other Masonic bodies. He was a member of the Zanesville Eagles lodge. Mr. Savage was born May 22, 1905, in McLuney, a son of James and Frances Creeks Savage, but had resided in Roseville since 1919. He is survived by his widow, Bernice; two sisters, Mrs. Pearl Ogg of New Lexington and Mrs. Hazel Harmer of 2347 Maple avenue, a niece and a nephew. Friends may call after noon today at the family home. The body will be removed Saturday morning to the Roseville chapel of the Cannon and Cannon funeral home where last rites at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon will be conducted by the Rev. William Haggis. Burial will be at Rose Hill cemetery.
