Elizabeth "Betty" Senter, 86, of Grandview Circle, Jonas Ridge, N.C.,
died Tuesday, July 25, 2006, in the Cannon Memorial Hospital. A
native of Baltimore, Md., she was a daughter of the late W.W. and
Marion Bowen Crews. Mrs. Senter was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking,
painting, reading, needlepoint and was a true Southern lady, who
enjoyed meeting new people and bringing encouragement to her friends,
family, and neighbors. She attended the Frank Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her husband, Mark H. Senter Jr. of the home;
children, Elizabeth Hobson of Lexington, Ky., Ann Hobson of
Indianola, Wash., Jane Marcus of Long Grove, Ill., Robert Hobson of
Asheville, N.C., Betsy Senter-Kosh and her husband, Joseph, of
Lexington, S.C., Dr. Mark Senter III and his wife, Ruth H., of Lake
Forest, Ill., Harvey W. Senter and his wife, Lee, of Sumter, S.C.,
and Gregg S. Senter and his wife, Patty, of Richmond, Va.; ten
grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Funeral services were held
at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 27, 2006, at the Frank Presbyterian Church,
with the Revs. Hal McNeely and Kenneth Lance officiating. Services
were also held at the Wann Funeral Home chapel in Chattanooga, Tenn.,
at 11 a.m. Friday, July 28, 2006, with interment in the Forest Hills
Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Bryan College in Dayton, Tenn.,
to the Frank Presbyterian Church in Newland, N.C., or to the Lookout
Mountain Baptist Church in Chattanooga, Tenn. Online condolences may

Betty Jo Sizemore, 62, of Woodlawn, died Tuesday, July 17, 2001 at
her residence. She was born in Carroll County on May 1, 1939 to
Norman Estel and Lizzie Mae Melton Gallimore. Survivors include her
husband, Robert Junior Sizemore of Woodlawn; four children and their
spouses, Robert Eugene England of New Orleans, La., Harold Dean and
Laura England of Dugspur, Kathy Diane and Richard Newman of Fries and
Tony Lawrence and Peggy Sizemore of Galax; three sisters, Virginia
Darlene Mabe and Alice Ruth Lowe, both of Burlington, N.C., and
Margie Colene Hodges of Red Brush, N.C.; five brothers, Billy Ray
Gallimore of Thomasville, N.C., Buddy Gallimore of Beulah, N.C., Roy
Gallimore of Dobson, N.C., Troy Gallimore of Thomasville, N.C., and
June Gallimore of Burlington, N.C.; six grandchildren; and five
step-grandchildren. A funeral was held Thursday at 1 p.m. in the
Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Gladeville
United Methodist Church Cemetery. Brian Frazier officiated.
