Marcene Bowman, long time Shidler resident, went home to be with her
Lord and Savior early Saturday morning, Dec. 9, 2006, after a short
illness in Ponca City. She was 68. A graveside service will be held
on Monday, 2 p.m. at the Longwood Cemetery with the Rev. Charles
Richey, pastor of Webb City Church of God, officiating. Arrangements
are under the direction of Davidson Funeral Home, Fairfax. Born
May, 12, 1938, in Ponca City, she was the daughter of Roy and Margie
Boyce Alley. She grew up in Ponca City and graduated in 1956. On
Oct. 27, 1956, she was married to Jimmie Bowman in Ponca City. The
couple made their home in Ponca City for a time before moving to
Shidler. Mrs. Bowman was a loving and devoted wife, sister, mother,
grandmother, great-grandmother and homemaker. She enjoyed raising
her children and spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed
being an active member of the Webb City Church of God. She collected
wind chimes and loved being with her family whether camping,
attending her grandchildren's sporting events, or just visiting.
Surviving are her ten children, Becky Thomas of Shidler, Jimmie
Bowman and his wife Lois of Aztec, N.M., Pam Silcox and her husband
Marlon of Ponca City, Darla Wilhelm and her husband Todd of Shidler,
Darrell Bowman and his wife Pam of Bloomfield, N.M., Janice Hosack
and her husband Rick of Shidler, Marsha Bowman of Ponca City, Stan
Bowman and Kerri of Ponca City, Joan Turner and her husband Mike of
Shidler, John Bowman and his wife Marci of Perry; one brother, Roy
Alley and his wife Lyla of Fort Cobb; two sisters-in-law, Wanda Alley
and Tarla Alley; 27 grandchildren, Amee Thomas, Kimberly and Aaron
Garcia, Jimmie Bowman and Chatelle Rutland, Devin Bowman, Heather
Barnett, Brandon Silcox, Emily Silcox, Stephanie and Jon Krol, Sara
and Andy Ray, Stacy Wilhelm, Sarah Kirk, Diana Bowman, Felicia
Bowman, Ricky Hosack, Aaron Hosack, Amanda Bowman, Cole Shelton,
Shane Shelton, Christopher Turner, Scott Riddle and Ashley, Jon
Bowman, and Alecia Bowman; and eight great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn
Garcia, Levi Barnett, Kris Krol, Cheyanne Krol, Dakotah Krol, Seth
Williams, Shane Bowman, Kayla Bowman, and two more on the way. And
numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her
husband, Jimmie Bowman; her parents; three siblings, Wayne Alley,
Steve Alley, and Shirley Hadlock; one brother-in-law James Hadlock;
one great-grandson Brandon Bowman. In lieu of flowers please send
contributions to Webb City Church of God Building Fund.
Casketbearers will be Marlon Silcox, Todd Wilhelm, Rick Hosack, Mike
Turner, Boyce Alley and Orin Alley. Honorary casketbearers will be
Roy Alley and grandsons. Family will be at the home of Todd and
Darla Wilhelm in Shidler. Visitations at Webb City Church of God,
1-8 p.m. Sunday, 8-11 a.m. Monday.

ZANESVILLE -- Matthew Zane Hittle, 24, passed away at his residence
Sunday morning, Oct. 14, 2007. Matthew was born June 5, 1983, in
Zanesville, to William Hittle of Dresden and Angela Starcher Hittle of
Blue Rock. Matthew was employed at The Cedar Hill Care Center in
maintenance and also maintained Laundra Tan. He was a member of The
Old
Steam and Gas Tractor Club and a past member of the FFA. In addition
to his parents, Matthew is survived by two sisters, Malissa (Randy)
Wilson of Zanesville and Klare Hittle of Zanesville; a brother,
Wolfgang Hittle of Zanesville; his loving fiancee, Lisa Harper and her
daughter whom he loved as his own, Hayley Harper; a nephew, Rayne
Wilson; and paternal grandparents, Zane and JoAnn Hittle of Dresden.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Juanita
Starcher;
and a cousin, Jaunita Newell. Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4
and 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, at The Snouffer Funeral Home, 1150
W. Military Road. Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday,
Oct. 17, 2007, at The Snouffer Chapel, with Bill Meaige officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donation envelopes will be available at The
Snouffer Funeral Home.

LAKE WYLIE, S.C. - Jack Benny Corder, 63, of 102 Ashwood Lane,
Lake Wylie, S.C., died Oct. 15, 2008, at Piedmont Medical Center,
Rock Hill, S.C. Mr. Corder was born Dec. 6, 1944, in Zanesville,
to the late Ralph and Ellen Hinkle Corder. Survivors are his
wife, Dorita Corder of the home; daughter, Nancy Landerman of
Lake Wylie, S.C.; four sons, Ronald Harris of Zanesville, Jack
Harris of Chiefland, Fla., Michael Corder and Ernest Henthorne of
Lake Wylie, S.C.; sister, Geraldine Boone of Zanesville; brother,
Ralph Corder of Zanesville. Memorial service will be at
10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, 2008, at M.L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home
Chapel, 4820 Charlotte Hwy, Lake Wylie, S.C. conducted by the

Mrs Anna V Grear, 86, of 834 Princeton avenue died at 10 a.m. Wednesday
in the home of her son, J. Thomas Grear of 3108 Newark road, after a
long illness. Mrs. Grear was born Aug 16, 1889 in Carbondale, Kan.,
and had lived in the Zanesville area for the past 70 years. She was
a member of Euclid avenue United Methodist Church. Surviving in
addition to the son are two grandchildren, Lawrence Grear of
North Linden avenue and Mrs. James (Shirley) Miracle of Hopewell; and
five great-grandchildren. The body was taken to DeLong and Baker
Funeral Home where friends may call 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and
7 to 9 p.m. Friday.
