Ronald Earl Cuff, Jr., 51, of Eufaula passed away Friday, July 28,
2006, in Eufaula. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday,
July 31, at the North Fork Baptist Church with the Reverend Bruce
Sanders officiating. Services are under the direction of Hunn,
Black & Merritt Funeral Home of Eufaula. Ronald was born on October
12, 1954, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the son of Ronald Earl and Carole
Sylvia (Pinkston) Cuff. He attended East Oak Elementary School and
graduated in 1972 from Crooked Oak High School in Mid West City.
Ronald then attended Rose State College. In May of 1976 Ronald
enlisted in the United States Marines. He served in Okinawa and Iraq.
While active in the service, he received the Rifle Marksman Badge,
the Good Conduct Medal and achieved the rank of Lance Corporal. He
was honorably discharged in November of 1980. On August 29, 1989,
Ronald married Debra Ann Cox in Galveston, Texas. Ronald worked for
the Corp of Engineers as a lock and dam operator. He was an avid
weight lifter and former owner of the Rock Hard Gym. Ronald was a
member of the OU Swarm and North Fork Baptist Church. Survivors
include: his wife, Debra Ann Cuff of the home; son, Spencer Joe
Detamore and wife Donya of San Diego, California; daughters, Angela
Murray of Oklahoma City, and Sylvia Cuff of Sarasota, Florida;
mother, Carole Sylvia Cuff; brother, Kenneth Wayne Cuff and wife
Sherrie of Oklahoma City; nephew, Craig Cuff and wife Nancy of
Oklahoma City; 3 great nephews and a best friend Jim Miller. He is
preceded in death by his father, Ronald Cuff Sr. and his
father-in-law S.J. Cox. Memorial contributions may be made to the
Chapter of the Blue Star Mothers in Muskogee.

A man drowned Friday in Lake Eufaula.
Ronald E. Cuff Jr., 51, Eufaula.
Cuff drowned about 5 p.m. Friday in Lake Eufaula after he jumped from
his houseboat into the lake to retrieve a remote-controlled toy boat,
the patrol said. He did not resurface and later was found by a diver
in about 15 feet of water. Cuff was taken to Community Hospital
Lakeview in Eufaula and was pronounced dead, the patrol said.

Linda and Tim Blair, Fayetteville, N.C.; one son and daughter-in-law, Ray and
Leslie Lupold, Petersburg; four granddaughters; and two grandsons. Funeral
services will be held 3 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul United Methodist Church with
Rev. Doug Kanney officiating and burial to follow in Sunset Cemetery. The family
will receive friends one hour before the service. The family requests in lieu
of flowers that memorials be made to the St. Paul United Methodist Men's Sunday

Mrs. Carrie L. Roe, 70, of Clair, Mich., died at 5 a.m. Saturday,
Dec. 26) in Lansing, Mich. She was born Feb. 19. 1900 at McLuney
in Perry County, a daughter of Clara V. Colburn Savage. Surviving
are her husband, Ona; two daughters, Mrs. Richard (June) Groves of
Clair, and Mrs. James (Jeanne) Kasacavage of Lansing, Mich.; four
sons, Clarence Hinkle of Lunica, Mich., Elma Hinkle of Crooksville,
L. D. Hinkle of Clair and George Hinkle of Farwell, Mich.; 24 grand-
children and several great-grandchildren; a brother, Rolland Savage
of Roseville; five sisters, Mrs. Genevive Fleming of Wheat Ridge,
Colo., Mrs. Della Wilson of New Lexington, Mrs. Marie Hinkle, Mrs.
Dorothy Early and Mrs. Loretta Wilson, all of Clair. Four brothers
and three sisters are deceased. The body will be taken to Crooksville
Chapel of Cannon and Cannon Funeral Home where friends may call after
noon Tuesday. Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Iliff
United Methodist Church with Rev. Wauneta White officiating. Burial
will be in the church cemetery. The body will be taken to the church
an hour before services.

Woman Suc'umbs After Injury In M'Connelsville
Mrs. Elizabeth Savage Donahue Dies from Effects of Fractured Hip
M'Connelsville, O., May 3 - Mrs. Elizabeth Savage Donahue, aged 80,
died Sunday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at her late residence in
McConnelsville, from the effects of a broken hip, sustained Sunday,
April 19, complicated with other diseases. Mrs. Donahue was the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John and Elizabeth Potts Savage and was born
in Highland County, W. Va. Seventy-five years ago she came with her
parents and one brother, George, from Cumberland Maryland, where the
family then resided, to a farm near McConnelsville. Mrs. Donahue was
united in marriage with John Donahue, deceased, a Civil war veteran.
She is survived by a brother-in-law, Hugh Donahue, and a number of
nephews and neices, Mrs. O. B. Shaner, Chicago, Pearl Savage,
McConnelsville, Ohio; George Savage, Valleta, Calif.; Frank Savage,
Wyandotte, Mich; John Savage, Sells, Ariz.; Mrs. Thomas Van Horn,
Columbus. The funeral arrangements have not been made.
