Dwyer, Phyllis "Nerine" (King), loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and retired Sears sales associate died, Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2005. Visitation with family 6:00-8:00 pm, Wed. and service 1:00 p.m. Thur., both at Resthaven Mortuary. Nerine was born Jan. 22, 1917 in Bourbon, Co., KS to Claud and Mable King. She graduated from Fulton High. She met her husband Birdett when she was teaching school at Berlin, KS. They were married 62 yrs. before his death in 2001. She is also preceded in death by sister, Annabelle Murray and brother, Harold King. Survivors: daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Jerry Robbins of Wichita, son and daughter-in-law, Barney & Lyna Dwyer of Mariettta, GA, grandchildren, Kelly Burright, Karie Karp, Kris Cantrell all of Wichita, Phillip Dwyer of Athens, GA, Jaimie Bassett of Marietta, GA, great grandchildren, Aaron, Brandon, Taylor, Tyler, Garrett, Makenna, Audrey and Hudson, sisters, Eva Watson of Wichita, Hazel Gilmore of Albuquerque, NM, brother, Gene King of Wichita.

Lincoln Estep Sr. 72, of Main street, Crooksville, retired coal miner, died at 1:35 p.m. Saturday (Dec. 19) at Good Samaritan hospital where he had been a patient for the past three weeks. Mr. Estep was born in Huntington, W. Va, May 31, 1889, a son of Bennet and Alice James Estep. He had lived in Perry County since 1902. He was a member of the Crooksville Apostolic church and United Mine Workers Local 8295. Surviving are four sons, Francis of Brighton boulevard, Lincoln Jr, of Philo, Franklin of Roseville and Robert of San Diego, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Thelma Deaver of Black Lick, Mrs. Opal Rose of McConnelsville and Mrs. Shirley Roush of Santa Fe Springs, Calif.; a brother, Joseph Estep of Athens; a sister, Mrs. Garnet Martin of Corning, several grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. The body was taken to the Crooksville chapel of Cannon and Cannon Funeral Home where friends may call after 7 p.m. today.

Leona Ruth Wicker, 89, of Walnut Ridge, died May 17, 2008, at St. Bernards in Jonesboro. Born Aug. 2, 1918, in Arkansas, she was the daughter of Frank and Dona Longley Dunham. She was a homemaker and was of the Pentecostal faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Truman Wicker, on Feb. 1, 2002, whom she married April 2, 1938; a son, Phillip Wicker; two brothers, Ed Dunham and Clifford Dunham; and a sister, Lori King. Survivors include a sister Nina Alphin, Missouri. Funeral is today at 2 p.m. in Bryan Chapel with Bro. Teep Wicker officiating. Burial will be in Austin Cemetery at Old Walnut Ridge under the direction of Bryan Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Randy Wicker, John Wicker, Kenny McIntire, Charles King, Rex Gentry and Jerry Graham.
