Bonnie J Arnold Lacy, 80, of Zanesville, died at 7:13 p.m. Tuesday,
Sept. 20, 2005, at The Ohio State University Medical Center, after a
three-week illness. Mrs. Lacy was born Feb. 5, 1925, in Zanesville,
a daughter of the late Eugene H. and Lillian A. Newton Mattingly. She
was a lifelong devoted member of the St. Ann's Catholic Church in
Dresden and was a member of the St. Ann/St. Mary's Catholic Women's
Association and the American Legion Auxiliary in Dresden. Surviving
are her children, John Starner of Zanesville, Sheryl (Charles)
Williams of Cold Spring, Ky., Becky McInerney of Roscoe, Brenda (Dr.
John) Lepi of Nashport; her late husband Paul's sons, Paul Eston
(Judy) Lacy Jr. and Steven Talbot (Ricki) Lacy; grandchildren, Bryan
(Tanya) McInerney, Mark McInerney, Casey Williams and fiance Carrie
Webster, Dr. Steve (Janna) Williams, Clay Williams and fiance Lindsay
Rothgerber, Scott (Allison) Lepi, Ryan (Jillian) Lepi; a
stepgranddaughter, Erin (Shane) Cox; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John "Jack" Arnold, who
died Oct. 6, 1973; her husband, Dr. Paul E. Lacy, who died Feb. 15,
2005; and a brother, Alfred Mattingly. Calling hours will be from 2
to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23, at the Dresden Chapel of
Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home with a Wake service at 8 p.m. A Mass
of Resurrection will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, 2005, at St.
Ann's Catholic Church in Dresden with Father Jack Maynard as
celebrant. Burial will follow in the Dresden Cemetery. Memorial
contributions may be made to St. Ann's Catholic Church, P.O. Box 107,
Dresden, OH 43821 or to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation,
134 A-2 Northwoods Blvd., Columbus, OH 43235.
