TUSCOLA - Mrs. Jerry Bowman, 66, of Cedar Gap, died at 2 a.m. Tuesday at Hendrick Memorial Hospital, Abilene. She suffered a stroke Feb. 15, and has been hospitalized since. Born Lula Rebecca Bell at Rusk, Aug 26, 1893, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Bell. Mrs. Bowman was a member of the Church of Christ since 1921. She married Bowman in April of 1921, at Haskell, and lived in Taylor County 39 years. Funeral arrangements are pending with Fry Funeral Home at Tuscola. Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Mrs. H. D. Adkisson of 2525 Ross St., and Mrs. J. F. Adkisson of 1502 Lakeside Dr., both of Abilene; and Miss Vada Lou Bowman of the home; three sons, John E and Johnny W., both of Abilene, Leon Bowman of Freeport; one sister, Mrs. Johnny Floyd of Pasadena; seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
